The Des Moines Heritage Center was the perfect option for our large wedding! Their staff was incredibly easy to work with, informative about guidelines, and helpful with every question we had! The event space allowed for ease of decorating and it was very accommodating to our wants/needs! I highly recommend this space for large events!

We got married in June 2026, and choosing the Des Moines Heritage Center was the best decision!! Their space was perfect for the size of wedding we had, and we loved having the Plaza and Depot available for cocktail hour. We also rented the Depot for our rehearsal dinner and we had so many compliments. It truly was the perfect space for that. Sarah and her team were awesome, creating ease and simplicity the day of and throughout the planning process.
